Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MEA platform and the mea.tech website. By using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
The service
MEA provides a digital diversion platform used by public agencies to route low-level offenses into structured community-service programs. Access is provided to program participants and authorized agency users.
Accounts and security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for activity under it. To protect your account, MEA uses multi-factor authentication, including one-time verification codes sent by text message (SMS) to the mobile number you provide.
Text-message (SMS) communications
By providing your mobile number and opting in during onboarding, you consent to receive text messages from MEA in two categories: (1) account-security verification codes and (2) community-service case notifications such as check-in confirmations and appointment reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP; you will receive a confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for help. The MEA SMS program is supported on major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and other supported carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any program requirement being satisfied by other means made available to you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform, including by attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours, disrupting the service, or using it for any unlawful purpose. Access to another participant's information is prohibited; the platform enforces strict per-participant data isolation.
Privacy
Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information, including your mobile number and text-message opt-in.
Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MEA disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. MEA does not provide legal advice; participation in any diversion program is administered by the responsible public agency.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MEA will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
